Comics Come Home Cambridge Concert reviews
"still haven't found what I'm looking for"
I didn't pay over $300 (and $50 for parking) to be lectured, I paid to be entertained. Probably a good thing I went alone as if I was fortunate to have someone to share this with I'd probably have to finance it or something. I was having a pretty good time until the politics ensued, I enjoyed this concert for the most part, the ticket was pretty expensive but worth it. I skipped the encore despite waiting over 15 years to see Comics Come Home since their last gig in Austin and I have zero regrets about it. The "side 2" of Joshua Tree was a treat to hear live, I was excited to hear them play almost nothing but older songs. All in all, I'd still recommend this show, it was worth the obnoxious ticket price to hear one of my favorite albums from them come to life. The line to get out was invisible, line at the t-shirt booth was short, I was on my way home in less than 30 seconds once I got in the car so thanks Bono and co. for setting the expectation right off the bat, certainly made my decision to leave early much easier. I would like to mention the opener was pretty amazing, I don't know who the lead singer for The Lumineers is, but he kicked ass that night and has a pretty extraordinary voice, I wasn't a huge fan of them (mostly due to unfamiliarity with who they are) but after seeing them live I am a believer now.
